Blockly

Blockly is also a visual block programming language for kids that some view as Google’s response to Scratch… but with a twist. Metaphorically speaking, it uses the same building blocks to help children master code. The difference is that Blockly can use textual and visual programming languages together. Blockly blocks can be translated (and the underlying code displayed) directly into such languages as C, Javascript, PHP, Dart, and Python. This makes this language more than just a kid’s toy or even just a simple tool that helps with programming for kids. Children can code along the side of their screen by linking different blocks together. They can also switch languages with ease, making it possible for them to see different types of code at any time for the same basic program. The main reason why we chose to offer it is that it allows coders to develop an actual working Android app.
